How To Get More Leads With Targeted Email Lists

If you are trying to build your online business, then you know that the first thing you need to do is start growing your email list. And if you’re focusing on SEO right now and trying to drive free traffic to your site, then you’ve noticed how slow it can be to collect emails and grow your list organically (without doing paid advertising).

So how can you grow your email leads and attract new subscribers faster without relying on free traffic from the search engines? The answer lies in the “OPL” technique (Other People’s List). Basically this means searching for already established targeted email lists and asking the owners if they’d be willing to send your ad to their list in exchange for some money.

Here are the steps to start making money with targeted email lists:

Step 1: Find Targeted Email Lists.

The best way to find targeted lists is to simply search for “ezine directories”. An ezine is simply an electronic magazine or newsletter delivered to people who had opted-in to receive it. Your goal here is to find ezines that are targeted to your website’s niche and contact their publishers.

Doing a simple Google search would give you plenty of results to get started, including:

Now that you found a targeted email list, contact the owner and say something like:

Hi [Name],

I stumbled across your website (insert URL) and I must say I’m really impressed with your work! I’d say that you have a lot of loyal readers. J My name is [insert name] and I am an online entrepreneur.

Just wanted to ask you… Would it be possible to send a solo ad to your list of subscribers in exchange for some money? I have a great free offer I think your readers will enjoy and they will be even more grateful for sending it to them.

It will only take you a few minutes to do and I will wire you the funds right away. Just let me know.

Look forward to hearing from you!

Step 2: Write The Solo Ad.

Once you get in touch with the list owner and agree on the terms, it’s time to write your solo ad. Remember, your goal here is to encourage other people’s subscribers to click on the link and check out your free offer, so you need to have a solid offer before contacting list owners. It can be anything from a free app, free PDF report, free 7-day video course, as long it’s offering real value and stays within the lines of the list owner’s niche. Bottom line is to make people click on your link and ultimately join your email list.

So how do you make this work? Here are the three elements you must consider:

  • A great headline – The title of the email message must be compelling enough to make the reader click and open the email.
  • Body Content – The solo ad content should 100% match the landing page to which you are sending the traffic to. Once people get to your landing page, the next step is to get them to opt in to your list, but this is a totally different thing.
  • Call to Action – Product feature x Product benefit => The Right Call To Action. Make it crystal clear and leave no room for confusion as to what you want people to do once they get on your landing page.

Here is an example of solo ad:

Final Words

Tapping into other people’s lists is how the big internet marketing gurus are making their profits online. They leverage already existing super targeted lists to start growing their own lists to which they can later market over and over again.

Now you can do this, too. Start small and buy few amounts of clicks (50-100) and see how it goes. If you get good results, you can always buy more as you go. Testing is the best way to refine your strategy until you get the right formula for both ad copy and solo ad providers. But once you crank it, your business will never be the same!

  1. Have you ever considered about adding a little bit more than just your articles?
I mean, what you say is valuable and all. But think about if you added some great photos or videos to give
your posts more, “pop”! Your content is excellent but with pics and video clips, this site could definitely be one of the
best in its field. Amazing blog!

  2. This year turned out to be very difficult. But we have optimized and reduced the cost of our products!
It is almost impossible to find prices lower than ours, the sale is at the cost price level.
Watch and be surprised by our super low prices
