You may be asking yourself right now what on earth is a sales funnel? In simple terms, it’s a website or a page on a website with one main objective, to get people to opt-in or purchase a product or service. Now that we got the basics out of the way, the next question is, how can you build a sales funnel that can consistently and effectively convert your leads?
First tip we would like to share with you is that a well-structured Sales Funnel will rely heavily on the following 3 components:
- Your Niche: You need to have a clear idea of who you want to be landing in your funnel. The best way truly construct your niche is through our very own stakeout method. This consists of carefully observing your target audience on Facebook and identifying their interests and behaviours. Once you clearly know their characteristics, you can build your niche based on what you’ve observed.
- Your Offer: The service or product you are offering in your funnel needs to be valuable enough so as to incite the audience to take action. It needs to be worth it, it needs to be irresistible.
- Your Copy: At its core, the copy you use in your funnel needs to be as persuasive as possible. Good copy can act as that extra boost needed to convert the leads if the offer isn’t that attractive.
The following tip may sound a bit contradictory with everything we’ve just previously mentioned but it’s true. The thing is that the funnel doesn’t matter (to a certain extent), the offer is what’s going to make or break your conversion rate. So make sure to think carefully about your offer, make sure it provides unparalleled value. It also works the other way around, you can build a well-structured funnel that’s visually captivating, but if the offer is weak then it will not be able to convert all the traffic that is mesmerized by your funnel.
Another useful tip is that the most important thing is traffic. Even the best offer out there will go unnoticed if there’s no traffic. Just like opening up a store in real life, you can’t just open up your new store then sit and hope that someone will come across it. That is not going to work, you need a promotional strategy that will bring people in. In our case we love to use Facebook ads and really tailor our ads for the people we want to reach by using audience insights. Bringing cold traffic into your funnel combined with a solid offer will provide results, but leading warm traffic from your niche straight into the funnel will 10x those results.
Last tip is to think about what are your key strengths, where do they lie, and how can you optimise and utilise these strengths to scale your business. Once you have identified your key strengths, you can strategically use each one of them for building different sections of your funnel. Follow our tips and we can guarantee that your sales funnels will be converting your leads in no time!
